Civilian comrades
The 5 Slobozhanska brigade “SKIF” of the National Guard of Ukraine felt the true power, activity and influence of the Ukrainian volunteer movement from the first day of russia’s large-scale armed aggression against our country.
The volunteers of our brigade are the very force that unites Ukrainians and encourages them to reach out to their neighbors and join the common cause, they are people who have tremendous energy and know how to direct it to creation. For each of our volunteers, the most valuable gratitude is the understanding that they are saving lives.
We bow low to each volunteer for your difficult and such a charitable and bright mission. Communicating with you, one gains a special energy and realize that the enemy will never be able to defeat a nation that has such people. For us, each of you is a hero! Each of you is special!
In 2024 alone, charitable foundations, public and volunteer organizations handed over more than 25 thousand items of aid totaling more than UAH 24 million.
Vehicles, drones, thermal imagers, night vision and electronic warfare devices, generators, charging stations, camouflage nets, laptops and tablets… – it is difficult to list all the things our civilian counterparts support the guardsmen with and help us destroy the enemy.
For their significant contribution to the development of the brigade’s defense capability and constant support during the large-scale war, more than 300 charitable foundations, public organizations and individual volunteers were awarded the medal of the 5th Slobozhanska brigade “SKIF” of the National Guard of Ukraine “For Patriotism and Cooperation”.
